Hey, git users!
Am I right in thinking: git checkout-index -a \ --prefix=/path/to/where_i_want_the_checkout/ from within an existing git repository is the same as svn export [repository URL] /path/to/where_i_want_the_checkout/

evbart: I just went to mail something at Mailbox etc, and some dude walked over to me, signed this paper, and handed over to me.  He then said , “If you’ll look closer, you’ll see this is an original signature, its me.  Its not worth anything now, but it will be some day.” Clearly…… I’m hoping to get ahold of that E=mc2 equation to predict the future! kastner: what command do you use to check load average? w, uptime, top, something else? top, although I hate having to work on MT’s (gs) servers, as they disable it. I also like using top to keep my ssh session open for a bit.

mattmcinerney: Includes Lorem Ipsum in short paragraphs, long paragraphs, short list items, and long list items. I do find myself breaking up lipsum into lists quite often. And if you’re not sure what Lorem Ipsum is, it’s the most frequently used placeholder text by graphic designers. This is my new lipsum.com.

The Like Feature
tmblg: Can someone please explain the “Like” feature to me? I like that I can bookmark things that I find interesting but don’t want to reblog, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to view things I’ve liked, and reblogs have significantly decreased. Fewer reblogs = less new content. What’s the idea behind it? Agreed, although something tells me we’re only seeing the first bits of the Like...
