What’s this report mean?
Sorry for all the MD related posts lately. This report refers to x-rays done of my sternum recently.
Clinical indication: Sternal lump
Three views of the sternum demonstrate no radiographic evidence of sternal abnormality. The soft tissues are not well seen. The visualized lungs are clear.
Impression: Normal radiographic appearance of the sternum. No abnormality is detected in the region of clinical concern, however the soft tissues are not well seen. CT or MRI is recommended for further evaluation as clinically warranted.
Specifically, the “soft tissues are not well seen” - what’s that mean exactly?
