Just got an invite to spymaster - after clicking around for a few minutes, my take is this: it’s more or less a gimmick to get more people to sign up for spymaster.
Quoth spymaster’s FAQ:
Only one tactic universally increases your power as a spymaster: invite as many followers of yours as you can to become spymasters in your spy ring.
I tried performing a “task” - maybe they get more complex later on, but the entirety of the task entailed clicking a button.
Maybe I just don’t get spymaster, but I think I’m going to start unfollowing people who spam my stream with a bunch of updates from the game.
