Facto, 7 hours later
Launched a 24 hour project today called Facto, ~7 hours ago to be precise. Wanted to do a quick follow up on it (which I suspect I will update over time; it’s pretty darn fascinating to watch this evolve.)
420 users
1,331 facts
5,572 uniques
30,210 pageviews
For such simple project, I’m stunned by the positive response and amazing content already on there (I’ve been hitting Random for about 3 hours straight: http://facto.me/facts/rando) There are some truly interesting facts people have posted, and Chuck Norris has already signed up (I expected this to take substantially longer).
I have a few ideas for features I’d like to roll out over the next few days, and I’ll be interested to see how growth continues. Over and out.
Update 1: about 18 hours in: 552 users, 2,100 facts, 730 replies, 2k uniques, 18k impressions so far today. Ridiculous.
Update 2: Facto has been alive for around 30 hours or so and got picked up by Mashable and Louis Gray. It’s at 1,212 users, 5,633 facts, 3,485 replies, and has done 8,200 uniques and 74,000 impressions today. Awesome.
Update 3: (1/3) Mediaite picked it up, and Daniel Tenner (Swombat.com) mentioned my write up. Already about halfway to matching yesterday’s traffic, and it’s only 10am. Added about 1,000 users since the last update. Ridiculous!
